Single Ticket Wins Saturday Lotto

Single Ticket Wins Saturday Lotto

A single ticket won the Lotto jackpot on Saturday night by matching all six of the main numbers that were drawn. The Lotto jackpot had rolled over in the previous game, so the top prize at the weekend was worth a very impressive £7,087,472, which should be more than enough to revolutionise the life of the lucky winner many times over. Now the owner of the winning ticket will need to decide whether or not to go public with the win, as well as think about what they will do with the cash once it arrives in their bank account!

The Lotto results that created the UK's newest multimillionaire on Saturday 9 August were 16, 36, 40, 43, 45 and 47, and the Bonus Ball number – which was only useful at the second prize tier – was 10. There were five tickets that matched that Bonus Ball and five of the main numbers to win £89,639 each, and another 153 tickets won £2,487 each by matching five main numbers only. Another 9,823 tickets matched four main numbers to win £204 each, and the smallest prize of £25 went to each of 194,311 tickets that matched three main numbers. In addition to all of that excitement, 100 players won £20,000 each in the Lotto Raffle game.

In the Health Lottery game that also took place on Saturday, three tickets won their owners a top prize of £100,000 each by matching all five of the main numbers, which were 07, 10, 17, 23 and 27. That alone would have been enough to encourage plenty of others to have a go at winning in the next game this Wednesday, but there were also more than 45,000 consolation prize winners in the game. Consolation prizes of up to £10,000 each were landed, and the Bonus Ball number that helped quite a few of the successful tickets to land a cash sum was 37.

The EuroMillions game on Friday 8 August hadn't been quite as lucky for jackpot seekers, with no ticket matching all five main numbers 21, 29, 35, 43 and 36, as well as both of the Lucky Star numbers 01 and 09. There were four tickets that matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win a second tier prize of £256,541 each, and another 11 tickets won £31,095 each by matching five main numbers only. The total number of prizes won was 2,047,809, and that isn't including the prize of £1 million that was won by the play who matched the Millionaire Raffle number GQB228900.

Well done to everyone who won a prize of any kind over the last few days, but especially to those who won a top prize in the Lotto or Healthy Lottery games. For those of you who are still dreaming of winning big, the EuroMillions game on Tuesday will offer a triple rollover jackpot worth around £29 million, so click here to buy your tickets online and let us know if your dream comes true!
