Single Ticket Wins Lotto Jackpot
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014
A single ticket won a UK Lotto jackpot worth £6,123,375 just 24 hours after another British player had successfully brought down the colossal EuroMillions jackpot. We said on Monday that it looked like it would be a golden week for lottery players, and events have already justified that statement in great style. Of course, the week isn’t over yet, and another UK player is certain to be celebrating this Friday 31 May when the special Millionaire Raffle game delivers a prize of £1 million every month for a year!
The Lotto results for Wednesday 29 May were 03, 05, 25, 33, 34 and 35, and the Bonus Ball was 14. Whilst there was just one ticket that matched all six of the main numbers to win the jackpot outright, quite a few tickets came close to sharing that prize. Seven tickets managed to match five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and the owners of those tickets will now be able to console themselves with a second tier prize worth £102,050 each. Another 296 tickets matched five main numbers only to win a considerably smaller third tier prize of £1,508 each.
There were 286,099 winning tickets in total in the midweek Lotto game, and the total amount of prize money won was £10,977,783. The next Lotto jackpot this Saturday 1 June will be worth around £3.7 million, which should get the brand new month off to a great start for anyone who succeeds in landing it.
The Irish Lottery results on Wednesday 29 May were 06, 12, 14, 16, 33 and 43, and the Bonus Ball was 02. One ticket matched all six main numbers to win the jackpot outright, and the final value of that jackpot was €10,565,261. Two tickets won €25,000 each by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and more than 40,000 tickets won a smaller consolation prize. The next Irish Lotto jackpot this Saturday will be worth a guaranteed €2 million.
Lottery players looking to get rich before the end of the month will now be focusing squarely on the EuroMillions and Millionaire Raffle games this Friday. The EuroMillions jackpot will be worth around £12 million, and every EuroMillions entry purchased will automatically give you an entry to the special Millionaire Raffle draw. Remember, whilst it is possible for the EuroMillions jackpot to roll over, the Millionaire Raffle game is guaranteed to create a winner, and the winner this Friday will receive £1 million every single month for a whole year. Visit this page to get involved online and good luck!
