Single Ticket Scoops Lotto Jackpot

Single Ticket Scoops Lotto Jackpot
Updated: Monday 7th April 2014

A single ticket scooped the Lotto jackpot on Saturday night, which means that somebody is starting this week with an extra £7,505,717 to their name. How long it will take for the lucky winner to claim their prize has yet to be seen, but if you entered the game and you haven’t yet checked your ticket it might be a good time to do so. The Lotto results for Saturday 11 January were 22, 23, 25, 27, 28 and 46, and the Bonus Ball was 24.

You don’t need to be a detective to have noticed that quite a few of the numbers drawn on Saturday were in a very narrow range, so it was no great surprise to see the jackpot being landed. Another 24 tickets matched five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball number to win a second tier prize of £17,985 each, and the total number of prizes won was 301,589.

The Saturday night Lotto Raffle game created 100 winners of £20,000 each and the next Lotto Raffle game this Wednesday 15 January will award another 50 prizes of £20,000. The main Lotto game will offer a brand new jackpot with an estimated value of £2.2 million.

In the Health Lottery game, no ticket matched all five numbers (21, 22, 39, 44 and 45) so there was no winner of the top prize. More than 7,000 tickets matched four or fewer main numbers, with or without the Bonus Ball number (19), to win a consolation prize of some kind. Ten Hot Ticket Raffle prizes were also won, and more Hot Ticket Raffle prizes will be available in all Health Lottery games from now until Saturday 1st February.

The EuroMillions results on Friday 10 January were 01, 02, 11, 27 and 29, along with the Lucky Star numbers 01 and 10. No ticket matched all seven numbers that were drawn and so the jackpot rolled over to set up a £17 million jackpot game this Tuesday 14 January.

There were ten EuroMillions tickets that matched the five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to win a second tier prize of £112,865 each, and another 19 tickets won £19,801 each by matching five main numbers only. The total number of prizes landed was 2,923,013, and the Millionaire Raffle number on Friday was JSJ205174.

Lottery players who have yet to win big this year can have another go at succeeding in the midweek games that are coming up. Head this way to buy your lottery tickets online and if your numbers don’t come up in the EuroMillions game on Tuesday they just might make you a millionaire in the Lotto game on Wednesday!
