Single Ticket Scoops Lotto Jackpot
Updated: Wednesday 16th September 2015
One ticket matched all six main numbers in the Lotto draw on Saturday 4 December to land a jackpot worth £4,581,890. It is of course too early to know whether the winning ticket was purchased by an individual or on behalf of a lottery syndicate, but there is no disputing the fact that winning more than £4.5 million just a few weeks before Christmas is a feat well worth celebrating. The EuroMillions jackpot on Friday 3 December wasn’t as cooperative, so there is a rollover jackpot of £23 million to play for this Friday 10 December.
The lottery results for the Lotto game last Saturday were 04, 15, 19, 44, 45 and 49, and the Bonus Ball was 11. Although only one ticket matched all six main numbers to win the jackpot in its entirety, plenty of other tickets landed more modest prizes. 8 players matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £176,226 each and 419 tickets landed wins of £2,102 each by matching five of the main numbers without the Bonus Ball.
The jackpot in the EuroMillions game on Friday 3 December eluded players everywhere, but 4 players picked up a second-tier prize of £541,176 each by matching the five main numbers (08, 19, 28, 32 and 46) and one of the two Lucky Star numbers (04 and 07). The lack of a jackpot winner means that EuroMillions fans will now be able to try and win a top prize of around £23 million this Friday. And, lest we forget, every EuroMillions ticket bought in the UK also gives you the chance to win a Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million – the winning number last Friday was ZFG479495.
There are just five Lotto draws to go before Christmas, and just three EuroMillions draws, so those of you who wouldn’t mind entering the festive season as a brand new multi-millionaire can give yourself the best possible chance by participating in all of them.
