Single Player Wins Lotto Jackpot of £16.1 Million
A single ticket holder has landed a huge Lotto jackpot of £16.1 million after matching all six main numbers in the draw on Saturday 13th August. It is the largest top prize to have been given away since a single player won just over £21 million on Wednesday 15th June.
Saturday’s winning numbers were 12, 20, 31, 39, 43 and 46 with Bonus Ball 38. There were over 1.3 million participants who picked up prizes on a spectacular night, including one player who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £89,412. The remaining prizes ranged from a free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers to £1,404 for matching five main numbers.
One ticket holder instantly became £1 million richer after the code PLUM 5422 3183 was drawn in the Lotto Millionaire Raffle, while another 20 codes worth £20,000 each were also drawn. Check out the Lotto Results section to find all the details from the draw, including a full prize breakdown and full list of winning Lotto Raffle codes.
There had been a run of five rollovers since the last jackpot success, stretching back to the draw on Saturday 23rd July, when one player won £5.7 million. The Lotto Statistics page charts the progress of the jackpot over the last six months, and also has detailed information on the most common numbers, most overdue numbers and much more.
It may be that you decide to take a statistical approach when selecting your next line, or perhaps take some inspiration from elsewhere to decide which numbers to select, such as the amount of medals that have been won by Team GB at Rio 2016 or the address where you grew up. The next Lotto draw on Wednesday will offer a jackpot of £2 million, and you can buy tickets by either entering online or visiting an authorised retailer. Best of luck!Published: Monday 15th August 2016
