Seventh Saturday Lottery Success
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014
One lucky ticket won the Lotto jackpot at the weekend, extending a string of Saturday lottery wins to a seventh consecutive week. The main Lotto numbers drawn on Saturday 9 November were 01, 02, 06, 29, 32 and 47, and the Bonus Ball was 13. That Bonus Ball was surplus to requirements as far as the jackpot winner was concerned, because by the time it appeared the winning ticket was already worth a whopping £4,803,934. If you hadn’t noticed already, the figure we just quoted was over £100,000 higher than the estimated value, which made the win even better!
The second prize tier saw six Lotto tickets win £63,907 each by matching five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball, and another 219 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £1,486 each. There were 13,796 tickets that matched four main numbers to win £124 each, and 282,953 tickets won the smallest consolation prize of £25 each by matching three main numbers. Because the jackpot had also been won in the previous Lotto game, there were 50 winners in the Lotto Raffle draw, each ending Saturday night £20,000 richer than they were when it started!
All of that took place little more than 24 hours after the EuroMillions jackpot of £12,510,000 was shared by two winners – one in France and the other right here in the UK. The midweek EuroMillions jackpot had also been landed by a ticket purchased in the UK, so it looks like Lady Luck is being quite nice to Brits right now. The EuroMillions results on Friday 8 November were 20, 28, 35, 42 and 43, with the numbers 08 and 10 being drawn as the Lucky Stars.
There were five tickets that matched all five of the main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win £205,782 each, and three tickets won £114,323 each by matching five main numbers only. Another 41 tickets matched four main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars to win a fourth tier prize of £4,182 each, and the total amount of cash won by UK players was £9,325,253. You can also add on an extra £1,000,000 for the player who matched the Millionaire Raffle number NMH531393.
With UK players doing so well in recent weeks, lottery fans will be hoping that the luck continues for a while longer – especially with a special £80 million jackpot being up for grabs in the EuroMillions game this Friday 15 November. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with that, but in the meantime we have a Tuesday EuroMillions jackpot of around £12 million and a Wednesday Lotto jackpot of around £2.2 million to play for, so follow this link to buy your tickets online and good luck!
