September EuroMillions Superdraw
Updated: Monday 20th July 2015
A EuroMillions Superdraw with a jackpot of €100,000,000 (around £85 million) looks likely to be held on Friday 18 September, 2009, according to our sources. Although that would make the next EuroMillions Superdraw just over eight weeks away, it is certainly a date that you should make a note of, because Superdraw jackpots are always extremely popular and buying tickets early is definitely advisable.
Because this EuroMillions Superdraw has not yet been officially announced to the public, we simply don’t know whether the jackpot will be guaranteed to be paid out regardless of anyone winning the jackpot, or whether a jackpot that isn’t won would roll over to the next draw.
Prior to March 2009 a Superdraw meant the former, and if nobody won the jackpot outright the prize was rolled down to the next highest level that did have winners. However, on Friday 6 March, 2009, the Superdraw (which was referred to as MegaJackpot) deviated from that pattern and promised to roll over if it wasn’t won outright.
Fortunately for EuroMillions players, that rollover wasn’t called for. Two players shared the MegaJackpot in March 2009, with one winner in Austria and another in France each taking a €50,000,000 slice of the jackpot.
Having a EuroMillions Superdraw to look forward to in the middle of September is something that should brighten the life of lottery players everywhere. Traditionally September can be a bit of a depressing month in the UK, with the summer holidays having ended and the weather beginning to turn Autumnal. At least now we’ll be able to anticipate a big EuroMillions Superdraw game and the chance to win £85 million – more than enough to throw a few parties as the darker nights draw in!
Of course, all of that is still a couple of months away, and you may not need to wait that long to become a lottery winner with oodles of millions in the bank. The Lotto draw on Wednesday 29 July, 2009 has a jackpot of £2.4 million up for grabs, and on Friday 31 July there’s a EuroMillions rollover jackpot worth around ten times that amount. That’s right, £24 million could be yours. All you have to do is buy lottery tickets online, cross your fingers and see what destiny decides!Published: Tuesday 28th July 2009
