September Ends with Jackpot Success

September Ends with Jackpot Success

The last EuroMillions and Lotto games of the month were played last Friday and Saturday, and we can tell you that the jackpots were landed in both of them. A EuroMillions jackpot worth £55,193,986 went to a single ticket that had been bought in Luxembourg, whilst a Lotto jackpot worth £3,777,260 was shared by two lucky tickets right here in the UK. All of that means that we now have brand new jackpots of around £12 million and £2 million to play for in the midweek EuroMillions and Lotto games.

EuroMillions players saw the main numbers 11, 15, 38, 41 and 43 being drawn on Friday 27 September, along with the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 06. Whilst just one ticket matched all of those numbers (giving Luxembourg its first jackpot win of the year), there were five tickets that matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to secure a second tier prize of £249,875 each. Two of those tickets were bought by players in this country, so well done if you had one of them!

There were 91 tickets that matched five main numbers only to win £2,288 each at the third tier, and the total number of prizes won on Friday was 2,755,481. UK players won a total of £3,833,831 in prize money, and one other player landed a separate prize of £1,000,000 by matching the Millionaire Raffle number YJD693620.

The Lotto results on Saturday 28 September were 10, 12, 14, 25, 46 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 31. Regular readers may have spotted that two of those main numbers – 10 and 25 – had previously been highlighted as being most overdue to make an appearance, so it was nice to see them do just that.

With two tickets sharing the jackpot, each of the winners is now £1,888,630 richer than they were previously. Eight players won £145,279 each by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and 447,549 tickets won smaller prizes at the lower levels.

There was no top prize winner in the Health Lottery game on Saturday, but there were over 12,400 tickets that won consolation prizes of up to £10,000 each. The main numbers drawn were 04, 21, 23, 24 and 39, and the Bonus Ball was 14.

We can now look forward not only to a brand new month of lottery action, but also to a brand new Lotto experience thanks to the new format being launched this Saturday 5 October. We will preview that special event later this week, but click here to buy your tickets for the midweek games and you just might win yourself millionaire status in the meantime! Good luck!
