Sensational Second-Tier Lotto Win
The Lotto game gave one lucky player a sensational second-tier win on Wednesday 28 September, and that’s just as well because the jackpot itself wasn’t won by anyone. The Lotto results were 15, 19, 25, 36, 44 and 45, with 43 being drawn as the Bonus Ball, and the single ticket which managed to match five of the main numbers along with that Bonus Ball landed a prize of £732,543. That’s a prize worth almost three quarters of a million pounds, so whoever was lucky enough to take second place in the midweek Lotto game has an excellent excuse to throw a party this weekend.
What made the second-tier payout so big was the fact that just one person qualified for it. Like the jackpot itself, if more than one player wins the second-tier prize then the prize fund for that level is shared equally between the winners. But when just one player wins, as was the case on Wednesday, that player scoops the entire prize fund for that level.
As always, there were plenty of winners in addition to the second-tier prize winner in the Lotto game on Wednesday. 216 players won £2,119 each by matching five main numbers only, 13,659 players matched four main numbers only to win £73 each and 264,954 players won £10 each by matching three main numbers.
We congratulate everyone who won a midweek Lotto prize, but we especially congratulate the player who landed the £732,543 second-tier prize and we will bring you further details about that player should he or she choose to go public. In the meantime, we now have some monster rollover jackpots to play for in the EuroMillions and Lotto games this Friday and Saturday.
The EuroMillions game on Friday 30 September will offer a triple rollover jackpot of around £41 million. The most overdue main numbers for the EuroMillions game are 43, 41, 29, 11 and 03, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 04 and 08. The Lotto game on Saturday 1 October will offer a rollover jackpot of around £6.5 million and the most overdue numbers for that game are 12, 08, 21, 13, 01 and 14. Buy your tickets online today for both games and good luck!
