Second EuroMillions Jackpot for Spain
The EuroMillions game last Friday 26 February saw Spain win its second jackpot of the month, with the first having been scored on Tuesday 2 February. Both jackpot wins were worth €15 million, and each was landed by a single winning ticket, so the nation effectively ended the month in much the same way as it had started, and the only real difference (thanks to fluctuating currency rates) was how much the jackpots were worth when converted to pounds sterling – the first was worth around £11.3 million whilst the latest was worth around £11.8 million.
The EuroMillions numbers that delivered February’s second Spanish success on Friday were 05, 13, 15, 33 and 50, along with the Lucky Star numbers 09 and 11. Whilst UK players missed out on the top prize this time, one of four winning tickets at the second tier had been purchased in this country, giving its owner the princely sum of £260,731 for matching all five main numbers plus one of the Lucky Stars.
There were 18 tickets that matched the five main numbers only to win £19,313 each, and another 46 tickets won £3,778 each by matching four main numbers as well as both of the Lucky Stars. More than 2.5 million prizes were won in total, and players in the UK collectively won over £3.3 million.
In addition to all of the cash that was landed in the EuroMillions game, five UK players won £1 million each in the special Mega Friday Millionaire Maker draw. Each winner will also enjoy the trip of a lifetime in South Africa, and return home with bespoke diamond jewellery worth £10,000, so if you haven’t yet checked your tickets, here are the winning codes:
We congratulate everyone who won a prize of any kind last Friday, but those of you who didn’t manage to get rich quick last week can look forward to having many more opportunities to do so in the month ahead. The first EuroMillions draw of March this Tuesday will offer a brand new jackpot which is expected to be worth around £11 million, and the Millionaire Maker draw will create another guaranteed winner of £1 million, regardless of what happens in the main game.
