Saturday Lotto Boasts £6.1 Million Jackpot
We brought you news yesterday that the EuroMillions jackpot this Friday would be worth around £21 million thanks to a midweek rollover, and today we can report that the midweek Lotto jackpot also rolled over, giving players an estimated £6.1 million to play for this Saturday 13 April. Those two jackpots, plus the top prize in the Millionaire Raffle game this Friday, means there is around £28 million to be won at the end of the week, plus millions more in consolation prizes. The Lotto results that made this possible on Wednesday 10 April were 03, 16, 27, 33, 36 and 42, and the number 12 was drawn as the Bonus Ball.
The midweek Lotto jackpot might have given players the slip, but 14 tickets were able to win their owners £44,463 each by matching five of the main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball. Another 302 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £1,288 each, and 15,422 tickets won £55 each for matching four main numbers. The smallest prize of £10 went to each of 263,909 tickets that matched three main numbers.
In the Health Lottery game on Wednesday 10 April the numbers drawn were 11, 17, 18, 21 and 45. As in the Lotto game, no player was able to match all of the numbers required to win the top prize, but there were plenty of consolation prize winners. In this case, around 1,800 tickets matched four or three numbers to win £250 or £20 each.
Over in Ireland, there was a brand new jackpot of €2 million up for grabs in the Irish Lotto game. The Irish Lotto results were 06, 07, 13, 34, 44 and 45, and the Bonus Ball was 39. No ticket won the jackpot itself, and no ticket managed to win a second-tier prize either, but 19 tickets matched five main numbers only to win €2,511 each. 67 tickets won €179 each by matching four main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and more than 22,000 tickets won smaller consolation prizes by matching fewer numbers. The next Irish Lotto jackpot will be worth around €2.5 million.
All of which means that it has been a rather quiet week as far as top prize winners are concerned. Many players will be hoping that this is a metaphorical calm before the storm, and that we might now see multiple jackpot winners created in the rollover games this Friday and Saturday. The EuroMillions jackpot of £21 million is the first prize to pursue, so click here to buy your tickets online and if you strike it lucky you just might start next week as a brand new multi-millionaire!
