Santa Delivers EuroMillions Jackpot Win

Santa Delivers EuroMillions Jackpot Win

Santa Claus delivered a EuroMillions jackpot worth £83,087,699 to one lucky player in France on Friday night, so if the winner is already aware of their success they are almost certain to be having a joyeux Noël. The elves EuroMillions numbers that made the early Christmas present possible were 03, 05, 22, 40 and 42, as well as the Lucky Star numbers 03 and 10, and there were smaller wins for a total of 3,816,991 other successful entries.  In the UK, one EuroMillions player won £1 million thanks to the Millionaire Raffle number DXK824154.

As far as the Friday EuroMillions ‘runners up’ prizes were concerned, 11 tickets won a cracker of a consolation prize (£151,413 each, to be precise) by matching all five of the main numbers drawn as well as one Lucky Star, whilst 20 tickets caught the five main numbers only to win a third-level prize of £27,759 each. All of the other winning tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers, and matching just two of the main numbers was enough to win a cash sum, so well done to everyone who got lucky.

The UK Lotto jackpot wasn’t as forthcoming on Saturday night as the EuroMillions jackpot had been on Friday, so the top prize rolled over to the next Lotto game on Boxing Day. The Lotto results were 04, 14, 28, 34, 43 and 44, with the number 13 appearing as the Bonus Ball.

10 Lotto tickets matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win a second-tier prize of £125,942 each. 842 tickets matched five of the main numbers only to win £934 each, whilst 36,843 tickets won £47 each by matching four main numbers. The smallest possible prize of £10 went to each of the players who successfully matched three main numbers.

So, here we are, on Christmas Eve, and the situation looks like this: On Christmas Day (Tuesday 25 December, for those of you who had previously been relying on the now defunct Mayan calendar) the EuroMillions game will offer a new jackpot of around £12 million and the associated Millionaire Raffle game will create 25 new millionaires. Then, if you happen to need yet another chance to strike it rich, you can have a go at winning the UK Lotto jackpot of around £6.4 million on Boxing Day (Wednesday 26 December).

We strongly recommend that all players buy their tickets online here for both of these games as soon as possible to avoid the inevitable last-minute rush. Then, make sure that you check back here on Tuesday night for the EuroMillions and Millionaire Raffle results and with any luck you could be wealthy beyond your wildest dreams well before Christmas Day comes to a close.

Have a very Merry Christmas and good luck from all of us here at lottery.co.uk!
