Rollover Jackpot for Saturday Lotto Game
Updated: Wednesday 9th April 2014
There will be a rollover jackpot of around £6.3 million to play for in the Saturday Lotto game this week after no ticket was able to match all six main numbers drawn on Wednesday. The Lotto results for the midweek game on Wednesday 2 January were 07, 09, 20, 21, 30 and 37, and the Bonus Ball number was 42, which is of course the answer to life, the universe, and everything according to Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was also the answer for a handful of players who wanted to win big despite the jackpot rolling.
Five tickets matched the aforementioned Bonus Ball along with five of the main Lotto numbers to land a second-tier prize worth £121,554 each, and although that wasn’t as good as winning the jackpot itself would have been, it was definitely enough to put a positive spin on the year ahead. 293 tickets won £1,296 each by matching five main numbers only, and over 318,000 tickets won smaller prizes of £50 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers.
In the Health Lottery game on Wednesday 2 January the winning numbers were 03, 13, 18, 31 and 44, and we are pleased to tell you that one ticket matched all of those numbers to land the best possible prize of £100,000. There were also more than 1,500 tickets that matched four or three of the numbers drawn to win £250 or £20 each, respectively.
Lottery games that were previously shown on BBC television channels on Wednesdays or Fridays (EuroMillions, Thunderball and Lotto) are no longer featured on the broadcast schedule thanks to a change that was introduced at the start of this year. That being the case, we would suggest that you download one or more of our free lottery results apps if you have an iPhone or Android smartphone so that you can get the results delivered to you directly without delay. Or, if you don’t have a compatible phone, visit our Lottery Results page from 8:30pm for EuroMillions results and from 9:30pm for Lotto and Thunderball results. The Health Lottery games will continue to be broadcast at 9:55pm on Channel 5 as usual.
The next big jackpot to play for is in the EuroMillions game this Friday, where the top prize will be worth around £12 million, and then we have the £6.3 million Lotto jackpot to pursue on Saturday. Head this way to grab your tickets for both games and good luck with your numbers!
