Rochdale EuroMillions Winner Has Two Days to Claim £349,463 Prize

Rochdale EuroMillions Winner Has Two Days to Claim £349,463 Prize

A UK EuroMillions winner has just two days left to present a winning ticket worth £349,463 to lottery officials before they miss out on the prize for good. The entry was bought in Rochdale, Greater Manchester for the draw on Friday 18th December 2015 and matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star. The winning line on the night was 6, 22, 26, 29 and 48 with Lucky Stars 5 and 6.

National Lottery prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the winning draw or the prize and the interest it has accrued over six months is transferred to the Good Causes Fund, which distributes grants to worthy causes across the UK. This was the unfortunate fate of an unclaimed £1 million Lotto Millionaire Raffle award from Saturday 5th December 2015, which expired last week and, coincidentally, had also been bought in the Rochdale area.

The EuroMillions player has until 4:30pm on Wednesday to present the slip at the closest regional lottery centre to Rochdale, in Liverpool. If they miss that deadline, the National Lottery’s customer care team are contactable by telephone until 8pm. Lottery players living in the the north west town, or who may have been visiting relatives in the area at the start of the Christmas break, are being urged to hunt carefully around their houses, cars and workplaces to see if they can turf out the winning ticket.

Playing EuroMillions online means you never have to worry about losing or damaging a ticket that could make you wealthy beyond your wildest dreams. However, if you prefer to get hold of physical slips, you are urged to sign the back and keep them in a safe, memorable place, checking them as soon after the draw as possible so you don’t miss out on a gigantic payday. Lottery.co.uk offers a number of lottery ticket checkers to make the process as easy as possible.

Tuesday’s EuroMillions jackpot is worth £11 million to anyone who can match all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars. You can buy tickets online or from authorised retailers, but remember to claim any prizes you win within the 180-day period! Good luck!
