Record Euromillions Jackpot is Claimed
Updated: Wednesday 23rd April 2014
So after days of speculation, the record Euromillions jackpot was claimed yesterday, amid a storm of media frenzy. Since Tuesday’s record breaking Euromillions draw, the whole country has been going crazy, triple-checking their lottery tickets and waiting for the winner to come forward. However, now it’s confirmed that the winner has stepped forward, and the record Euromillions jackpot is claimed but we still don’t have any details! Various news agencies are claiming details of the winner and the social networking site Twitter has been going crazy for days about the winner!
Today, even before lottery organisers confirmed the win had been claimed, a Kent newspaper was claiming the winner was from the area. However, a quick search on the social networking site came back with the details that the winner was from Leeds. Officially, we don’t know where the winner was from, or if he or she was part of a lottery syndicate or a single player, but it does look as though it’s the Millionaire Raffle winner that may be from Leeds.
In all the excitement, it would be easy to forget your Euromillions tickets for tonight’s draw, but don’t do that as there’s £13 million up for grabs. Then tomorrow, it’s the turn of the UK Lotto and as that one rolled over midweek, it’s a bonus rollover with an estimated £6.8 million up for grabs!
If we hear anything at all about this record Euromillions winner, you can be sure you’ll heard about it here on the lottery news pages. Good luck in your lottery draws over the weekend and make sure you pop back and check the lottery results later!
