Player in UK Wins EuroMillions!

Player in UK Wins EuroMillions!
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014

A lottery player in the UK landed the EuroMillions jackpot last night by matching all five main numbers plus both Lucky Stars. The EuroMillions results for Tuesday 9 July were 16, 18, 31, 38 and 49, and the Lucky Star numbers were 04 and 10. The top prize had rolled over in each of the two previous draws, and those rollovers helped last night’s jackpot to reach a final value of £28,847,237, which should be more than enough to make this the summer of a lifetime for the winner concerned.

Whilst the jackpot winner was the luckiest player of all last night, there was a fair amount of good fortune around for players at the consolation prize levels. One ticket (unfortunately for us, it wasn’t purchased in the UK) landed a fantastic second-tier prize worth €1,134,284 by matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star, whilst three tickets matched five main numbers only to win a third tier prize of £84,851 each.

There were 31 tickets that matched four of the main numbers plus both of the Lucky Stars to secure a fourth tier prize worth £4,105 each, and 635 tickets won £175 each by matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. There were more than 1.65 million prize winners overall, and the total amount of cash landed by players in the UK was £31,099,155, which was pretty good for a balmy Tuesday evening!

The EuroMillions jackpot has now been reset, so players have around £12 million to play for this Friday 12 July. The most overdue main numbers for that draw are 23, 02, 21, 39 and 46, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 08 and 09.

Before we get to that game, we have a midweek Lotto jackpot of around £2 million to try and win this evening (Wednesday 10 July). The most overdue numbers for this game are 19, 42, 37, 22, 12 and 48. Head this way to buy your tickets online and good luck!
