Overdue Numbers Help Land EuroMillions
Three of the seven numbers that we highlighted yesterday as being ‘most overdue’ to make an appearance helped someone to land the EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday 13 September. The results for the draw last night were 09, 28, 30, 32 and 49, with the numbers 09 and 10 being drawn as the Lucky Stars. Two of those main numbers (09 and 30) and one Lucky Star (10) were among our ‘most overdue’ selections in our EuroMillions Stats for Players news item, so everyone who entered all of those selections blindly will have certainly won a consolation prize.
Interestingly, anyone who had blindly played the ‘least common’ numbers that we highlighted yesterday would also have won a consolation prize because two of the least common main numbers made an appearance (28 and 32) as did one of the least common Lucky Star numbers (10). As for our ‘most common numbers’… well, let’s just say that all of those seemed to be on strike last night!
The EuroMillions jackpot itself was worth £140,822,522, which is almost £3 million more than the estimated £138 million, so somebody is going to have an extremely healthy bank balance when they have made their claim. Six EuroMillions players matched five main numbers along with one of the two Lucky Star numbers to each win a second-tier prize of £246,962 and five other players won £98,784 each after matching the five main numbers only. One player won £1 million by matching the winning Millionaire Raffle number, which was VMZ049534.
Now that the EuroMillions Statistics that we highlighted yesterday have proved that they can be so useful we expect that many players will start taking a bit more notice of them. No numbers have any more chance of being drawn than any others, but as yesterday’s EuroMillions draw demonstrates, from time to time they can and do appear together in prize-winning combinations. For those of you who are interested, the most overdue main numbers are now 43, 41, 29, 11 and 40, and the most overdue Lucky Stars are 06 and 03.
The EuroMillions jackpot for this Friday will be worth around £12 million, and there is a £2.2 million jackpot on offer in the Lotto game this evening. Buy lottery tickets online for both draws and good luck with your numbers!
