Outright Lotto Wins in UK and Ireland

Outright Lotto Wins in UK and Ireland
Updated: Tuesday 8th April 2014

There were celebrations on both sides of the Irish Sea last night thanks to jackpots being landed by outright winners in the UK Lotto and Irish Lotto games. The UK Lotto jackpot had a final value of £1,449,365, which was lower than the estimated £2 million but still enough to make that one lucky player a millionaire! The final value of the jackpot in the Irish Lotto draw was €3,984,812, thanks to rollovers in the four previous games.

The UK Lotto results for Wednesday 4 September were 06, 07, 08, 13, 24 and 28, with the number 18 appearing as the Bonus Ball. We have already pointed out the fact that all of the numbers drawn were in a low range, and that will certainly have been helpful to many players who restrict their entries to personally significant ‘days of the month’. We should also point out that there was a consecutive triplet of numbers in the mix too, which will have pleased many of those who like to base their entries on patterns.

There were 12 tickets that matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £37,163 each, and 507 tickets won £549 each by matching five main numbers only. Another 22,690 tickets matched four main numbers to win £27 and the lowest possible prize of £10 went to each of the owners of 359,131 tickets that matched three main numbers only. The next UK Lotto jackpot this Saturday 7 September will be worth around £3.6 million.

The Irish Lotto results last night were 02, 04, 09, 12, 28 and 31, and the Bonus Ball was 35. The single jackpot-winning ticket had been purchased in the North East of the country, and there was another single ticket that picked up a second tier prize worth €25,000 by matching five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball. More than 38,000 tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers, and the next Irish Lotto jackpot will be worth a guaranteed €2 million.

With jackpots landed in both the UK and Irish Lotto games, hopes were high that someone would win the top prize in the Health Lottery draw too. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, but over 1,500 players won a consolation prize of some kind. The Health Lottery results for the midweek game were 10, 17, 20, 38 and 46, and the Bonus Ball was 43.

Well done to all of the Wednesday night prize winners, and especially to the two players who managed to win a jackpot each. The next big lottery game to look forward to is the EuroMillions draw on Friday 6 September, when you will have the chance to play for a rollover jackpot of around £21 million.
