One Ticket Wins Double Rollover
Updated: Thursday 24th April 2014
The double rollover jackpot in the Lotto game on Wednesday 4 August was won by one ticket, so somebody somewhere is either coming to terms with the fact they have landed a prize worth £11,178,334 or they are completely unaware of their success. If you haven’t already checked your lottery tickets for the previous draw then you might want to do so now – the lottery results were 14, 17, 22, 24, 38 and 43. The Bonus Ball, which isn’t required for the jackpot but is essential for a second tier prize, was number 21.
Seven lucky players matched five of the six main numbers and the Bonus Ball to land the second tier prize just mentioned, and this time it was worth £153,647 to each of the lottery winners concerned. 396 other players matched five main numbers only to win £1,697 each and 434,575 prizes of either £65 or £10 were won by players matching four or three main numbers, respectively.
The jackpot for the next Lotto draw this Saturday 7 August will be worth around £4.3 million, and those of you who like to check out our Lottery Statistics page from time to time will be interested to hear that the numbers currently deemed ‘most overdue’ to make an appearance are 07, 12, 02, 49, 46 and 04.
Those of you who happen to believe that the number 7 is a lucky one for you will already have made the connection between the date of the next draw and the fact that 07 is overdue to make an appearance, but whether that or any of the other overdue numbers will help you to land a jackpot is something that only time will tell.
Of course, before the next Lotto draw takes place there is a chance for National Lottery players to have a go at winning a £12 million jackpot in the EuroMillions game this Friday 6 August. Anyone who buys a EuroMillions ticket also gets a chance to win the £1 million prize in the Millionaire Raffle game, so this weekend is packed with opportunities for aspiring millionaires. And the great thing is, you don’t even need to leave your home to seize those opportunities – simply buy lottery tickets online and keep your fingers crossed that your numbers come up!Published: Thursday 5th August 2010
