One Ticket Scoops Midweek Lotto
One ticket scooped the entirety of the midweek Lotto jackpot on Wednesday 1 August, which means that someone is now £2,306,611 richer than they were before the draw took place. We don’t yet know who owns the winning ticket, so it could either be an individual or a lottery syndicate, but either way there are likely to be some big celebrations taking place before long. The Lotto results that delivered the jackpot to the lucky ticket were 13, 20, 24, 27, 33 and 39, and the Bonus Ball was 06.
Players had to wait a bit longer than usual for the Lotto draw to be televised (11:30pm on BBC Two instead of 10:35pm on BBC One) because of the Olympics, but the wait will have been worthwhile for anyone who managed to land themselves a prize. The biggest winners apart from the jackpot winner were the owners of nine tickets that matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £78,858 each.
202 tickets won £2,195 each by matching five main numbers only, 13,168 tickets matched four main numbers to win £74 each and the lowest prize of £10 was won by the owners of the 248,005 tickets that matched three main numbers. The jackpot in the next Lotto game this Saturday 4 August will have an estimated value of £4 million.
In the Irish Lotto game, the main numbers drawn were 01, 05, 15, 22, 25 and 39, and the Bonus Ball number was 40. No ticket matched all six main numbers but one ticket matched five of them with the Bonus Ball to land a second-tier prize worth €25,000. There were 40 tickets that won €1,351 each by matching five main numbers only, and another 34,203 tickets won smaller prizes of up to €172 each by matching fewer numbers. The jackpot itself has now rolled over to the next game this Saturday, where it will be worth around €4 million.
All of that gives players two very decent jackpots to try and win this Saturday, but don’t forget that the EuroMillions game this Friday 3 August will offer a truly colossal jackpot of around £138 million. Buy your lottery tickets online today and the next big winner could be you!
