One Player Scoops Lotto Jackpot
The rollover Lotto jackpot on Saturday was scooped by a single player, which means that somebody in the UK is starting a brand new working week with an extra £6,441,879 to their name. Hopefully the lucky winner will make their claim quickly so that they can start planning how to enjoy their new-found fortune as soon as possible, but in the meantime it makes sense to check your tickets to make sure that the big winner isn't you! The Lotto results on Saturday 30 August were 01, 19, 20, 30, 35 and 46, and the Bonus ball number was 40.
There were eight Lotto tickets that matched five of the main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball, and those tickets won their owners £51,697 each as a result. A third tier prize of £1,995 was won by each of 176 tickets that matched five main numbers only, another 11,340 tickets matched four main numbers to win £163 each, and the smallest prize of £25 went to each of 234,536 tickets that matched three main numbers. As if all of that wasn't enough to make Lotto participation worthwhile, the associated Lotto Raffle game created another 100 winners of £20,000 each.
The Health Lottery results on Saturday were 19, 23, 27, 38 and 46, and the Bonus Ball number was 37. There were no top prize winners, but over 12,000 tickets won consolation prizes worth £10, £20, £50, £250 or £10,000 each, so well done to the players concerned.
In the EuroMillions game on Friday 29 August, the main numbers drawn were 02, 09, 26, 32 and 38, with the numbers 03 and 06 appearing as the Lucky Stars. No ticket matched all seven of those numbers and so the £24 million top prize rolled over for the third time in a row, setting the stage for an even bigger jackpot of around £29 million this Tuesday.
There were five tickets that matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win a second tier prize worth £207,980 each, and two other tickets won their owners £173,316 each by matching five main numbers only. The fourth tier awarded a prize of £2,063 to each of 84 tickets that matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, and more than 2.29 million prizes were won at the lower levels.
All of this means that we enter the new month of September with a triple rollover EuroMillions jackpot of £29 million to play for this Tuesday, followed by a brand new Lotto jackpot of around £2.1 million to pursue on Wednesday. Click here to buy your tickets online and good luck!
