One Midweek Thunderball Winner
Updated: Wednesday 9th April 2014
There was one winner of the £500,000 top prize in the midweek Thunderball game on Wednesday 21 November, and that’s just as well because no ticket landed the jackpot in the midweek Lotto game. The results selected by the first of the two machines used were 11, 15, 26, 31 and 35, and the Thunderball number selected by the second machine was 04. Winning half a million isn’t quite as nice as becoming a millionaire several times over, but we can think of much worse ways to spend a Wednesday evening, so well done to the owner of the lucky ticket!
As regular players will already know, Thunderball has eight consolation prize levels and last night the total number of prizes won was 151,603. Three tickets matched the five main numbers without the Thunderball to win a second-tier prize of £5,000 each and 26 tickets matched four main numbers plus the Thunderball to win £250 each. Full details of all prize levels can of course be found on our dedicated page of Thunderball results, so do take a look at those if you want to know more.
The Lotto draw took place just a minute or two after the Thunderball game, and the main numbers drawn were 04, 12, 19, 22, 36 and 40, whilst the number 44 was selected as the Bonus Ball. Although no ticket was able to match all six main numbers, 15 tickets matched five of them plus the Bonus Ball number to win a consolation prize worth £42,846 each.
376 Lotto tickets matched five main numbers only to win £1,068 each at the third-tier prize level and 17,745 tickets won £49 each by matching four main numbers. The lowest prize of £10 per winner went to the owners of 301,063 tickets that successfully matched three of the main numbers.
In the Health Lottery game, the top prize of £100,000 eluded players once again, but there were over 1,700 tickets that matched four or three numbers to win a consolation prize of £250 or £20 each, respectively. For those of you who played the game and haven’t yet checked your tickets, the Health Lottery results were 09, 13, 16, 22 and 50.
Because the Lotto jackpot wasn’t landed last night, the next jackpot this Saturday 24 November is expected to be worth around £6.4 million. Add that to the brand new EuroMillions jackpot of around £12 million that is on offer this Friday and you still have a couple of chances to supersize your bank account by the end of the week. Click here to play both games right now and may Lady Luck bring you a big win!
