One Brit Shares EuroMillions
There were two tickets that won the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday 8 June, and we are delighted to report that one of them was purchased right here in the UK! The EuroMillions jackpot had rolled over eleven times in a row and had a final value of £127,675,087, so each jackpot-winning ticket (the other of which was purchased in Belgium) is now worth £63,837,543. As always, another British player won £1,000,000 by matching the Millionaire Raffle number (which was MSH095096) so it was an eventful night all round!
The EuroMillions results on Friday 8 June were 05, 11, 22, 34 and 40, with 09 and 11 appearing as the Lucky Star numbers. 24 tickets (8 purchased in the UK) matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £102,891 each, whilst 38 tickets matched the five main numbers only to win £21,661 each. The total number of EuroMillions prizes won on Friday was a massive 5,748,432 and the jackpot in the next game this Tuesday 12 June will be worth around £12 million.
It was good to see the EuroMillions jackpot pay out on Friday, and the jackpot was just as cooperative in the Lotto game on Saturday night. Three tickets managed to match all six main numbers (05, 14, 24, 26, 37 and 44) to share the £6,308,976 jackpot, so each of the winners is now £2,102,992 richer than they were when they woke up on Saturday morning!
17 Lotto tickets matched five of the main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier prize of £74,667 each, and 674 tickets won £1,177 each by matching five main numbers only. Another 598,412 tickets matched four or three main numbers to win smaller prizes of £53 or £10 each, respectively. The jackpot for the next game this Wednesday 13 June will be worth around £2.2 million.
Congratulations to everyone who won a prize last Friday or Saturday and, to those who will be buying lottery tickets for the midweek EuroMillions and Lotto games that are coming up, good luck!
