New York for Raffle Winner
The first Millionaire Raffle winner to opt for publicity has said that he will now fulfil his lifelong dream of visiting New York. Ashley Beaumont, who is 63 years old and lives in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, was the sixteenth person to win the Millionaire Raffle game. He won £1,000,000 in the Millionaire Raffle draw on Friday 19 February, and the win has not only delivered Ashley a great deal of financial freedom, but it has also made it possible for him to now take his first holiday for a dozen years.
“I haven’t been able to go on holiday for over 12 years as I am wheelchair bound and need round the clock care,” Ashley explained, “but this win means I can go abroad for the first time in my life and I can also take my two carers with me too! I’m really looking forward to sailing into the harbour and seeing the view that I have seen so many times on the TV.”
Ashley discovered that he had won the Millionaire Raffle when he asked one of his carers to check the lottery results for him. He had only managed to get one of the numbers in the main EuroMillions draw, but the Millionaire Raffle number exactly matched the one on his ticket.
Ashley is a father of three adult children, and is a proud supporter of Barnsley Football Club as well as a big fan of the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. He is now looking forward to visiting the famous department store on Fifth Avenue. He is also keen to catch up with old friends.
“I used to work down the pits, but have also worked around the UK in London and the Cotswolds,” Ashley said. “It would be really great to be able to look up some old friends and catch up on the past.”
We congratulate Ashley on his Millionaire Raffle win, and thank him for choosing to share his success story with the general public. If you have been inspired to pursue your own Millionaire Raffle win then buy lottery tickets online for the next EuroMillions game this Friday 12 March. Not only will that give you a chance of winning the £1,000,000 Millionaire Raffle Prize, it also gives you a shot at the main EuroMillions jackpot, which will be worth around £13 million.Tuesday 9th March 2010
