New Millionaire Raffle Game
A brand new Millionaire Raffle game guarantees to create a UK millionaire each and every week with EuroMillions. This Millionaire Raffle game is exclusive to lottery players in the UK, and launches on Friday 13 November 2009. Of course, you will still have the usual chance of winning the normal range of EuroMillions prizes – including those hefty jackpots that we all like to get excited about – but you can also have a chance of winning £1,000,000 even if your EuroMillions numbers don’t come up!
The EuroMillions ticket that also gives you one entry into the Millionaire Raffle game will cost a little more than the existing EuroMillions ticket but it effectively offers you two chances to become a millionaire – you can win in the main EuroMillions draw or in the Millionaire Raffle draw. In fact, it will be perfectly possible to win in both draws!
Each Millionaire Raffle entry will consist of three letters and six numbers. As the name of the game suggests, a raffle draw will be held every Friday and if you happen to hold the winning Millionaire Raffle ticket you will win £1,000,000! Tickets for the first Millionaire Raffle draw will go on sale on Saturday 7 November, 2009.
Diane Thompson, the Chief Executive of the company that organises the lottery in the UK, said: “Since we launched EuroMillions in 2004 it has really captured the public’s imagination, creating big multi-million pound winners and offering more prize tiers than any other National Lottery draw-based game – as well as boosting returns to the Good Causes in the UK.
“Raffles are already popular with people across the UK, and in other lotteries around the world. With the new ‘Millionaire Raffle’ we want to offer the best of both worlds – making EuroMillions even more exciting for our players by giving them another opportunity to win big by creating a guaranteed UK millionaire every single week!”
The introduction of the new Millionaire Raffle game is sure to be one of the lottery highlights of 2009, and we can’t wait to celebrate the launch in November. In the meantime, there is still a EuroMillions jackpot of £25 million up for grabs this Friday 4 September, so if you haven’t done so already, don’t forget to buy your lottery tickets today.Wednesday 2nd September 2009
