New Lotto Game Arrives on Saturday!

New Lotto Game Arrives on Saturday!

The new-style Lotto game that players have been getting excited about for so long will finally arrive this Saturday 5th October, and it will do so in great style! The Lotto game itself will boast a special guaranteed jackpot of £10 million, and the brand new Lotto Raffle game, which all players get to participate in automatically, will create 1,000 winners of £20,000 each! The first draw to take place under the new rules will be presented live on BBC One at 9:10pm by Chris Evans.

With the launch of the new Lotto game imminent, last night’s draw was the last one under the current rules. The Lotto results for Wednesday 2 October were 16, 17, 21, 27, 30 and 37, and the Bonus Ball was 15. As the jackpot of this game had to be won in order to make way for the brand new Lotto jackpot on Saturday night, the prize would roll down to the next winning tier if there was no Match 6 winner. As luck would have it, one player was able to match up all six numbers, giving them a place in the lottery history books as the final jackpot winner of the old Lotto format!

The full results can be viewed on the Lotto Results page, so check your tickets now to see if you have won a prize.

We have written in detail elsewhere about the Lotto changes that come into effect this weekend, but for those of you who just want a quick summary of them, here’s what you can expect from the new rules:

Bigger starting jackpots.

A bigger minimum prize of £25 for matching three main numbers.

New Lotto Raffle will create at least 50 winners of £20,000 each per draw.

Tickets will cost £2 each.

Because this Saturday’s launch game will be offering a special £10 million guaranteed jackpot, a fully revised consolation prize schedule and 1,000 Lotto Raffle winners, demand for tickets is expected to be extremely high. Although the lottery organisers will have made the usual preparations to cope with the increased demand for tickets, we strongly advise that you enter your numbers for the game as soon as possible. Visit this page to buy your tickets online and as well as avoiding the queues in offline retail outlets you will also benefit from automatic email notification if you win a prize.

Enjoy the launch this Saturday, good luck with your numbers and be sure to let us know if you win big!
