Midweek Lotto Jackpots Roll Over
Yesterday we brought you news that the EuroMillions game will be offering a triple rollover jackpot of around £36 million this Friday, and today we can tell you that the midweek Lotto games in both the UK and Ireland have also rolled over. The UK Lotto will now offer a jackpot of around £6.2 million this Saturday 25 August, and the jackpot you can play for on the same day in the Irish Lotto game will be worth around €8 million. That gives lottery fans three separate chances to win stacks of cash before the week is over – four if you also include the £1,000,000 available in the Millionaire Raffle draw!
The Lotto results on Wednesday 22 August were generated with lottery machine Guinevere and ball set number 8. The six main numbers were 03, 11, 23, 28, 30 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 29. Five tickets matched five of the main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier prize of £113,339, and although that isn’t as good as landing the £1.8 million jackpot that was available, it’s more than enough to fund some serious celebrations this weekend.
406 tickets matched five main numbers only to win a third-tier prize of £872 each and 363,193 tickets won smaller prizes of £38 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers. With the next jackpot estimated to be worth £6.2 million it is highly likely that ticket sales – and the total number of prizes won this Saturday – will soar.
In the Irish Lotto game last night the jackpot was worth €7.1 million, but no ticket matched the six main numbers (02, 19, 34, 37, 39 and 41) required to win it. Fortunately, one ticket matched five of those numbers plus the Bonus Ball (which was 23) to win a consolation prize of €25,000. There were 32 tickets that won €2,180 each by matching five main numbers only, and the total number of prizes won was 34,140.
With three rollover jackpots to play for this Friday and Saturday in the EuroMillions, Lotto and Irish Lotto games, it promises to be a very exciting end to the week. Buy your lottery tickets for all three games here if you fancy enjoying breakfast as a millionaire this Sunday, and good luck!
