Midweek Lotto Full of Promise
Weekend lottery draws always tend to be slightly more popular than their midweek counterparts, but as far as winning is concerned there is no good reason why that should be the case. Tonight's Lotto draw has an estimated jackpot of around £2.1 million, so it should be perfectly well equipped to bestow millionaire status on a lucky winner, and players are about eight times more likely to land the top prize in the Lotto game than they are in the EuroMillions game. Factor in the chance to win one of 50 Lotto Raffle prizes worth £20,000 each and the midweek Lotto event is full of promise.
Lottery players in the UK will be pleased to have the midweek Lotto game to look forward to because they missed out on the top prizes in the EuroMillions game last night (Tuesday 15 July). One ticket matched all five main numbers (15, 18, 20, 27 and 34) as well as both Lucky Stars (01 and 03) to win a jackpot worth £53,758,144, but that ticket had been purchased in Belgium, so Brits will have to wait a few days for their next bite at the EuroMillions cherry.
Three tickets matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win a second tier prize worth €391,019 each, and another seven tickets won €55,859 each by matching the five main numbers only. Unfortunately for UK players, none of those tickets had been purchased in this country. The good news is that tickets bought by Brits managed to win consolation prizes at the lower levels with a total value of more than £2.27 million. The biggest winner of all in this country last night was the owner of the ticket that matched the Millionaire Raffle number XNK199625, because that ticket is now worth the very nice sum of £1 million.
The next EuroMillions game this Friday 18 July will offer a brand new jackpot with an estimated value of £11 million, but someone reading these words could well be a millionaire already by then thanks to the midweek Lotto game taking place this evening. The most overdue Lotto numbers at the time of writing are 02, 41, 46, 35, 32 and 45, so if you feel inspired to include any of those on your tickets, please feel free.
