Midweek Lotto Dream Comes True

Midweek Lotto Dream Comes True

The dream of winning a midweek Lotto jackpot came true for one player who matched all six of the main numbers drawn on Wednesday 2 July. Those numbers were 01, 18, 20, 38, 43 and 48, and the jackpot weighed in at a hefty £2,854,220, which was quite a bit higher than the £2.1 million which had previously been estimated. The lucky owner of the jackpot-winning ticket must now claim their prize and decide whether or not to go public. Then, when he or she has done that, their next task will be to decide how to put their multi-million pound fortune to good use!

The Bonus Ball number in the midweek Lotto game was 42, but there was no player who succeeded in matching that number as well as five of the main numbers, so there were no winners at the second tier prize level. There were 83 tickets that won a third tier prize of £2,158 each by matching five main numbers only, and more than 112,000 tickets landed smaller prizes of £182 or £25 each by matching four or three main numbers. The Lotto Raffle game awarded a prize of £20,000 to each of 50 winners.

Health Lottery players were as keen to win the top prize of £100,000 as Lotto players had been to win the jackpot, but unfortunately no entry proved able to match all five of the main numbers that were drawn. The Health Lottery results on Wednesday were 02, 16, 38, 41 and 49, and the Bonus Ball number was 30. Whilst the top prize gave participants the slip, more than 3,000 prizes were landed across the five consolation levels.

Over in Ireland, the Irish Lotto results were 11, 16, 20, 30, 34 and 43, and the Bonus Ball number was 12. The jackpot was worth €3.88 million, but no player succeeded in winning it, so the top prize rolled over to the next game. One ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win a second tier prize of €25,000, and more than 23,000 tickets won smaller prizes.

All of the above means that players will now have a brand new jackpot of around £4.2 million to play for in the UK Lotto game this Saturday, whilst fans of the Irish Lotto game can play for around €4.5 million on the same night. Don't forget that the EuroMillions game this Friday is also offering an exciting triple rollover jackpot that is expected to be worth around £33 million.
