Midweek Lotto Double Rollover Jackpot!

Midweek Lotto Double Rollover Jackpot!

The Lotto jackpot rolled over for the second time in a row on Saturday night, so players will have a double rollover jackpot of around £8.6 million to play for this Wednesday. That’s just a few million short of the standard EuroMillions jackpot, but the odds of winning a Lotto jackpot are much better at around 1 in 13.9 million, so the midweek game looks set to offer superb value for money. The EuroMillions jackpot itself was landed by a single French ticket on Friday, so we also have a new jackpot of around £11 million to chase this Tuesday. It looks like it should be another big week!

Starting with the EuroMillions game, the main numbers drawn on Friday 24 August were 05, 06, 12, 19 and 37, and the Lucky Stars were 03 and 07. In addition to the French ticket that managed to win the £37.7 million jackpot outright, six tickets – three of them purchased here in the UK – won £228,738 each by matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star.

11 tickets matched the five main numbers only to win £41,588 each, and 184 tickets picked up a fourth-tier prize of £1,243 each by matching four main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars. There were more than 3.66 million prizes won in total, and once again the biggest winner in the UK was the player who landed the Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million. The winning number on Friday was MGG862836.

The Lotto jackpot had a final value of just over £5.89 million on Saturday, which is why the second rollover gives it an estimated value of £8.6 million for this Wednesday. The Lotto results which eluded players everywhere were 12, 18, 23, 31, 44 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 40.

16 tickets matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win a second-tier consolation prize of £77,910 each, whilst 625 tickets won £1,246 each by matching five main numbers only. Another 590,554 tickets won prizes of either £54 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers.

It isn’t every week that the Lotto game offers a double-rollover jackpot, so if you want to get involved we advise you to buy your tickets early. Buy tickets for the Tuesday EuroMillions game at the same time and you will have two opportunities to win yourself a colossal bank balance in the next few days alone. Good luck!
