Midweek Lottery Preview

Midweek Lottery Preview

Midweek lottery players have plenty of chances to win a life-changing sum of money this evening, with five-, six- and seven-figure prizes available in the Lotto Raffle, Health Lottery, Thunderball and Lotto games. The Lotto Raffle will create 50 winners of £20,000 each, the Health Lottery will pay £100,000 to anyone who matches all five main numbers, the top prize in Thunderball is worth £500,000 and the Lotto jackpot is expected to be worth around £2.1 million. Play the Irish Lotto too and you can also give yourself a chance of winning €7.5 million.

Lottery players will no doubt be pleased to explore all of the midweek opportunities mentioned a moment ago because no player was able to win the jackpot in the EuroMillions game last night. The EuroMillions results for Tuesday 20 May were 05, 33, 36, 38 and 47, with the numbers 04 and 09 appearing as the Lucky Stars, and the jackpot weighed in at  just over £39.6 million.

Two tickets matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to qualify for a second tier prize, but neither of those tickets had been purchased in the UK, so the owners will be paid in euros to the tune of €528,720 each. Seven tickets won £35,456 each by matching five main numbers only, and two of those tickets had been purchased by players in the UK.

The total number of prizes won in the Tuesday EuroMillions game was 1,546,985, and the total amount of cash landed by players in the UK was £2,089,667. The Millionaire Raffle game gave another player a completely separate prize of £1,000,000 via the winning number DGM599559.

The next EuroMillions game this Friday 23 May will now offer a jackpot worth around £48 million, but the midweek lottery games could make quite a few players rich long before then. The most overdue numbers in the Lotto game at the time of writing are 24, 02, 21, 47, 04 and 32, whilst the most overdue numbers in the Health Lottery game are 02, 37, 23, 18 and 08. Other interesting facts and figures can be found on our Lottery Statistics pages, so do check those out if you are interested in such things.
