Midweek Jackpot Won Outright
The midweek Lotto jackpot had a final value of £6,252,743, and the good news is that one ticket matched the six main numbers that were needed to win it. Wednesday’s winner was the ninth player to win a Lotto jackpot in the month so far, but that figure could well increase in the last game of August this Saturday, when the jackpot will be worth an estimated £3.7 million. If winning that kind of money wouldn’t give you the perfect end to your summer, we don’t know what would!
For those of you who haven’t yet checked your tickets, the midweek Lotto results on Wednesday 28 August were 01, 05, 17, 19, 37 and 47, and the Bonus Ball was 11. There were five tickets that matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win £132,400 each, and 254 tickets won £1,628 each by matching five main numbers only. More than 315,000 smaller prizes of £56 or £10 were landed by each of the players matching four or three main numbers, respectively.
Yesterday we gave you some numbers to look out for in the big £21 million EuroMillions game this Friday, so it is only fair that we now do the same for the Lotto game on Saturday. The most overdue Lotto numbers right now are 21, 02, 08, 07, 36 and 06, whilst the most common numbers are 44, 38, 40, 23, 39 and 33.
Moving on to the action that took place last night over in Ireland, no lottery player was able to land the jackpot, which was worth €2.98 million. The main numbers drawn in the midweek game were 22, 34, 36, 40, 44 and 45, and the Bonus Ball was 15. One player won a second tier prize worth €25,000 by matching five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, whilst 28 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £1,713 each. There were over 20,000 prizes won in total, and the next Irish Lotto jackpot this Saturday will be worth around €3.5 million.
August has been a very exciting month so far, and it will be even more exciting if it ends with a big money bang. Visit this page to buy your tickets for the EuroMillions and Lotto games this Friday and Saturday, and good luck with your numbers!
