Medical Syndicate Lotto Win

Medical Syndicate Lotto Win
Updated: Thursday 24th April 2014

A syndicate of workers at a company providing medical supplies won a Lotto prize worth £76,112 after matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the midweek game on Wednesday 25 August. The lottery results for that draw were 05, 10, 12, 17, 28 and 30, and the Bonus Ball which gave the syndicate its second-tier prize was 47. The syndicate at Medasil (Surgical) Ltd in Leeds has seven members in total, so each member is now £10,873 richer and no doubt thinking carefully about how to put their National Lottery windfall to good use.

The Medasil syndicate is led by Stephen Armitage, who just happens to be a director of the company alongside fellow syndicate member Sean Farrelly. Stephen and his family (wife Jacqueline and three sons) had already booked a holiday before they became lottery winners, and planned to use some of their cash to make that holiday even more memorable.

“It’s amazing to win this money and we’re certainly going to spoil ourselves with a few extra treats on holiday,” Stephen said after finding out about the win. “The syndicate has got four numbers before on a few occasions, but this win is fantastic news for everyone. The holiday is a nice chance to relax and decide how we’re going to spend our winnings.”

Sean was equally delighted with the win, and has plans to take some of his cash on the road, as he explains: “I’ve got a new car on order but this win will allow me to get a few of the extras added as a treat, so I’m looking forward to taking the car out for a spin when I get it.”

Winning a second-tier prize in the Lotto game might not be quite as exciting as landing a multi-million pound jackpot, but it can still make a substantial difference to the players involved, and is certainly not to be sniffed at. The jackpot for the Lotto game this Wednesday 8 September is estimated to be worth around £2.4 million, so buy lottery tickets online and even if the jackpot proves elusive you still might be lucky enough to yourself a Bonus Ball win as a consolation!
