Massive Wednesday Lotto Jackpot!

Massive Wednesday Lotto Jackpot!

A massive Wednesday Lotto jackpot which is expected to be worth around £22.6 million is dominating the attention of lottery players right now. The jackpot has managed to reach its current level thanks to six consecutive rollovers, and in a matter of hours the nation will find out whether it will roll over for a seventh time or whether one or more players will win the kind of money that most people will only ever dream of having in their bank accounts.

Several EuroMillions players came close to winning a jackpot worth £37.3 million last night, but unfortunately nobody quite succeeded. The EuroMillions numbers that saw the jackpot roll over for the fifth time in a row on Tuesday 8 December were 12, 17, 29, 38 and 48, and the Lucky Star numbers were 09 and 11.

There were seven tickets that fell just one Lucky Star short of winning the top prize, and each of those entries landed a second tier consolation prize worth £117,688 instead. Two of those tickets had been purchased in the UK, and that was just as well because none of the six tickets that matched five main numbers only (to win €59,751 each) belonged to players in this country.

There were 36 tickets that won their owners £3,813 each by matching four main numbers, and a dozen of those had been purchased here in the UK. More than £2.5 million in consolation prize money was won by players in this country, and a total of over 1.7 million prizes were won by players worldwide. The Millionaire Maker code on Tuesday was QRN507684, and the jackpot in the next EuroMillions game this Friday 11 December will be worth an estimated £44 million.

Returning to the more immediate topic of the midweek Lotto game this evening, the most overdue numbers according to our Lotto Statistics page are 01, 19, 48, 04, 06 and 22, so do watch out for those and good luck with whatever numbers you choose to include on your own entries. Enjoy the game, and be sure to let us know if you win big!
