Luckiest Lotto towns revealed
Every week lottery players look for ways to increase their chances of a Lotto win. Choosing the right number formation, wearing lucky knickers, the possibilities are endless. However many of us would think that moving house to increase your chance of a Lotto win might be taking things a bit far. This week, the luckiest Lotto towns are revealed, so you can see exactly where the most big winners come from in the UK.
Lottery players from four different countries play the Lotto, Euromillions and all the UK Lottery draws, and at least one town from each of the four UK countries makes the list. As might be expected, London comes out on top, as the luckiest lottery town in the UK.
Birmingham is Britain’s ‘second city’, in that it is the second most populated city in the UK; maybe then it is little surprise that the city comes out second in the UK’s luckiest Lotto towns. In third place is Newcastle upon Tyne; people from the North are well known to be ardent lottery players and the city has been in the top ten for several years running.
In the other three countries across the UK, just one town from each country made the list. Glasgow makes Scotland the second luckiest country, coming in fourth place in the list. Previously Perth has made the list but this year the town has been knocked out completely. Belfast pushes Ireland into third place, taking eight place, and Cardiff just squeezes in for Wales in tenth place.
Wherever you are in the UK, we hope you have your lottery tickets for tonight’s £60 million Euromillions draw, and then tomorrow is the Lotto, where £4.4 million will be up for grabs! Good luck for the weekend and don’t forget to check back for all the lottery results and any news on winners.
