Lotto Won - EuroMillions Next?

Lotto Won - EuroMillions Next?
Updated: Monday 20th July 2015

The Lotto jackpot of £2,900,560 was won outright by a single player on Wednesday 16 December, and lottery players everywhere will now be hoping that they can scoop the £54 million EuroMillions jackpot this Friday 18 December in the same way. The odds of winning the triple-rollover EuroMillions jackpot are a bit more challenging (every ticket as a 1 in 76,275,360 chance of landing the top prize) but £54 million is quite a bit higher than the Lotto jackpot, so things balance themselves out nicely.

The lottery results for the Lotto draw on Wednesday 16 December were 02, 20, 34, 35, 40 and 44. The bonus ball was 49. No information about the lone winner has yet been released, but if he or she decides to go public then you can be sure that we will bring you all of the tantalising details at the earliest opportunity.

As well as creating a brand new jackpot winner, Wednesday’s Lotto draw made plenty of other people happy. Two players matched five of the main numbers and the bonus ball to win £446,240 each, which we think you’ll agree is pretty good for finishing in second place! Another 156 players matched five main numbers only to win £3,575 each – enough for a few festive drinks this weekend, no doubt!

Now that the Lotto jackpot has been won, the jackpot for the next draw this Saturday 19 December has been reset, and will be worth around £4.4 million. Of course, before that we have the £54 million EuroMillions jackpot to play for on Friday. Add in the chance to win the Millionaire Raffle with every EuroMillions ticket you purchase and this weekend gives you plenty of chances to achieve the dream of becoming a National Lottery millionaire!

It’s worth remembering that this weekend is the last one before Christmas, so if you want to play lottery games midweek and next weekend as well it would be a very good idea to buy lottery tickets online for a few draws in advance. That way you can focus on the Christmas festivities without worrying about forgetting to get your tickets! Good luck!
