Lotto to Make Five Guaranteed Millionaires on 16th January

Lotto to Make Five Guaranteed Millionaires on 16th January
Updated: Friday 26th July 2019

Lotto Millionaire Raffle will offer five prizes of £1 million in the draw on Saturday 16th January, helping multiple ticket holders navigate the most financially-tricky month of the year. The game usually provides one seven-figure award in every Lotto draw, guaranteed to be won on the night, but also boosts the number of winning codes on occasion throughout the year, adding to the excitement of the game.

The most recent example of this came on Boxing Day, when five Lotto Millionaire Raffle top-tier prizes were distributed to lucky players. To celebrate the introduction of Lotto Millionaire Raffle on Saturday 10th October 2015, when it replaced Lotto Raffle, there were 25 £1 million winners made in a single draw.

Players are automatically entered into the Lotto Millionaire Raffle every time they play the main Lotto game. A code is randomly generated on the ticket for each Lotto line purchased, with one ticket selected to win £1 million in a regular draw, with another 20 banking £20,000 for their owners. Every code has the same chance as any other of winning a prize and your odds of success are dictated by how many tickets are sold for that particular draw. Find out more about this fun game at the Lotto Millionaire Raffle page.

There is no need to wait until 16th January to pick up a huge Lotto prize though, as this Wednesday sees the game offer its biggest-ever jackpot of £50.4 million. As the jackpot cap has now been reached, if no one snaps up the main prize on Wednesday, the whole amount has to be won in the following draw. If no one matches all six main numbers on that occasion, the kitty will roll down and be shared amongst the players in the next winning prize tier.

Lotto tickets are available online or from authorised retailers across the UK and remain so until 7:30pm on the day of the draw.
