Lotto Rollover Jackpot this Saturday!
Updated: Wednesday 9th April 2014
There will be a Lotto rollover jackpot worth around £6,200,000 for players to try and win this Saturday 23 February after none of the tickets bought for the midweek draw succeeded in matching all six main numbers. For those of you who entered the game, the main numbers that were selected by the lottery machine named Merlin on Wednesday 20 February were 03, 06, 36, 44, 45 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 47. As we said on Monday, the Lotto game has delivered every Saturday jackpot of the month so far, so we look forward to seeing if it can deliver again this weekend!
171 tickets came very close to winning the jackpot on Wednesday by matching five of the six main numbers, which is obviously just one short of the maximum. Two of those tickets also managed to match the Bonus Ball number, which qualified them for a second-tier prize of £339,727 each. The remaining 169 tickets that matched the five main numbers only had to settle for a third-tier prize of £2,512 each.
As far as the bottom two prize tiers were concerned, over 250,000 tickets succeeded in winning a more modest cash sum for their owners. 11,545 tickets won £80 each by matching four main numbers, and 238,574 tickets matched three main numbers to win £10 each. Add together all of those cash prizes and the total amount of money won in the midweek Lotto game was £4,413,322 – not bad at all, especially when you take into account the fact that the jackpot itself rolled over!
The next Saturday game will be the last one of February, and if the jackpot is landed again it will give Lotto players a 100% success rate in the weekend draws for the whole of the month. Before we find out if that happens, don’t forget that we also have a brand new EuroMillions jackpot worth around £12 million to play for this Friday.
Visit this page to buy your lottery tickets for both of the games coming up and you will have two chances of changing your life forever. Enjoy the draws and here’s to a winning weekend!
