Lotto Rollover for Wednesday
The Lotto game on Saturday 5 June offered a jackpot of £4.13 million, but unfortunately no player matched the six numbers required to win it, and that resulted in a Lotto rollover for Wednesday 9 June. The jackpot this time will be worth around £7 million, which is an brilliant sum for a midweek draw and will be more than enough to encourage plenty of ‘Saturday only’ players to also get involved. The Thunderball draw on the same day will give players a chance of winning a top prize of £500,000, so this Wednesday could prove to be life-changing for several lottery winners – all you have to do is get lucky!
The lottery results for Saturday 5 June were 05, 22, 23, 24, 26 and 29, and the Bonus Ball was number 31. Many regular lottery players were surprised that the jackpot wasn’t won because five of the six main numbers were in the twenties. Since it is fairly common for people to use days of the month as the basis of their entries, we might have expected the jackpot to be shared by multiple winners, but once again the Lotto jackpot packed a surprise punch and there wasn’t even a single winner.
Fortunately, the four tiers of consolation prizes proved more fruitful for National Lottery players. 15 players matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £84,720 each. 610 players matched five main numbers only to win £1,302 each and another 33,653 players matched four main numbers for £51 each. In addition there were well over half a million players who matched three main numbers and picked up £10 each for doing so.
One of last Saturday’s Lotto numbers (22) was previous highlighted as one that was overdue to appear on our Lottery Statistics page. The current overdue numbers are 07, 13, 18, 14, 43 and 09, but whether one or more of those will make an appearance in the game this Wednesday remains to be seen.
