Lotto Rollover for Saturday

Lotto Rollover for Saturday

The Lotto draw on Wednesday 21 October failed to produce a jackpot winner, so as well has having a EuroMillions triple rollover jackpot of £54 million to play for on Friday 23 October, we also have a Lotto rollover jackpot of £4.4 million on Saturday 24 October! This gives National Lottery enthusiasts two bites at the millionaire-lifestyle cherry, and if your numbers don’t come up in one of the games then they could still come up in the other! Technically speaking, a player could actually win both jackpots, but the odds of achieving that kind of feat are not worth contemplating.

Many players like to participate in more than one kind of lottery game, so buying tickets for both EuroMillions and the Lotto is fairly common. It is also common for players to enter very similar numbers no matter which game they play, albeit with a few adjustments where necessary to accommodate the quantity of numbers that need to be selected.

Some might think that entering roughly the same numbers for both EuroMillions and the Lotto would make it unlikely that they will win a prize in both games, but that isn’t the case.

We have said on numerous occasions that the odds of any single set of numbers being drawn are exactly the same, so it doesn’t matter if you enter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 or a Lucky Dip entry of random numbers, the odds of winning the Lotto are still 1 in 13,983,816. However, the same principle applies to entering numbers for two different games. Entering a Lucky Dip line in EuroMillions and a different Lucky Dip line in the Lotto game would not give you any better chance of winning than entering lines or numbers that are very similar.

All of this is very good news for those of you who have a particular set of ‘lucky numbers’ that you like to play, because it means you can play those numbers in whatever lottery game you participate in without suffering one bit as far as the odds are concerned.

So, coming back to the big money action this weekend, what numbers will you be entering in the games this weekend? You can buy lottery tickets online for both the EuroMillions and Lotto games, and whatever numbers you enter, each of your tickets has just as much chance of winning as any other. This being the case, our advice is to trust your instincts and enter whatever numbers feel right – your hunch just might make you a multi-millionaire!
