Lotto luck with consecutive numbers
Updated: Friday 17th July 2015
Two lucky players last night had a lotto luck with consecutive numbers, sharing the double lottery rollover jackpot. Of the six numbers drawn in the National Lottery draw, five of them (and the bonus) were in the 20’s, including 20, 21 and 22. However, as past evidence has shown, many players deliberately choose consecutive numbers and it proved lucky for the jackpot winners from last night’s lottery draw. You can check all the numbers on our lottery results page, to see if you are the latest lotto millionaire.
The double rollover lottery jackpot reached a staggering £11.25 million, after no jackpot winners were found on the last two lotto draws. Ticket sales were high for the draw, as expected and each of the jackpot winners will now collect £5,629,964, just in time for Christmas.
There were many other, smaller winners in last night’s lottery draw too, with fifteen players collecting over £70,000 each for matching five of the main balls and the bonus ball. In total almost £18 million is to be paid out to winning lottery players, across all of the prize tiers.
The next National Lottery draw will now be held on Saturday evening and with last night’s double rollover won, Saturday’s jackpot stands at an estimated £4.4 million. With another draw out of the way, there are now six more lottery draws before Christmas Day, that’s six chances to become the UK’s next big lottery millionaire and judging by the amount of unclaimed lottery prizes this month, we recommend you buy your lottery tickets online!Published: Thursday 2nd December 2010
