Lotto Landed but EuroMillions Rolls
Updated: Friday 10th October 2014
Two tickets shared the Lotto jackpot on Saturday 10 July after beating odds of 1 in 13,983,816 to match all six main numbers. The jackpot, which had rolled over on the previous Wednesday, had a value of £7,482,244, which means that each jackpot-winning ticket landed £3,741,122. Success wasn’t quite as forthcoming in the EuroMillions lottery game on Friday 9 July, however, where the rollover jackpot of £23.59 million rolled again to give players around £34 million to play for this week. Of course, the Millionaire Raffle game never fails to make one EuroMillions player a EuroMillionaire, and last Friday the number that obliged was ZSW270497.
The lottery results in the Lotto game were 03, 05, 30, 31, 38 and 47, and the Bonus Ball was 37. In addition to the two lottery winners who shared the jackpot, three players matched five numbers and the Bonus Ball to win £478,052 each. The jackpot has now been reset and will be worth around £2.4 million this Wednesday 14 July.
Our Lottery Statistics page is packed with information that any keen fan of numbers will find interesting, but the most popular item on that page is always the list of numbers that are referred to as being ‘most overdue’ for selection. The most overdue Lotto numbers at the time of writing are 07, 10, 11, 28, 15 and 21, but whether any of these make an appearance in the next Lotto draw this Wednesday remains to be seen.
The EuroMillions results last Friday were 09, 24, 37, 39 and 49, and the two Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 09. As we said earlier, no player managed to land the jackpot itself, but six players did match the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number to win €503,039 (around £349,324) each. Another two players matched five main numbers only to win €428,263 (around £297,397) each. The most overdue numbers for EuroMillions are now 48, 20, 14, 27 and 35, and the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 05 and 06.
With £2.4 million to play for in the Lotto game this Wednesday 14 July and a double rollover jackpot of around £34 million up for grabs in the EuroMillions game this Friday, it promises to be another very exciting week for lottery players everywhere.
