Lotto Landed but EuroMillions Rolls

Lotto Landed but EuroMillions Rolls
Updated: Wednesday 9th April 2014

There were mixed results for aspiring millionaires in the lottery games last Friday and Saturday, with the EuroMillions jackpot rolling over for the sixth time in a row and the Lotto jackpot being landed at the first time of asking. That means players will also have a mixed bag of midweek jackpots to entertain over the next few days. On Tuesday 23 October you can try your hand at winning a EuroMillions jackpot worth around £61 million, and then on Wednesday you can try to secure a new Lotto jackpot of around £2.2 million.

The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Friday 19 October were 16, 29, 37, 40 and 44, and the Lucky Star numbers were 08 and 10. There were three winning tickets at the second-tier prize level (which won €655,940 each by matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star), but none of them were purchased in the UK. Ten tickets (two purchased in the UK) matched the five main numbers only to win £46,099 each.

40 tickets matched four main numbers plus both Lucky Stars to win a fourth-tier prize of £5,762 each, and another 1,293 tickets won just over £155 each by matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. There were more than 2.83 million EuroMillions prizes won across all levels, and the Millionaire Raffle number on Friday (which was worth £1 million to the player who matched it) was HNK015233.

The Lotto results on Saturday 20 October were 09, 10, 24, 37, 39 and 40, and the Bonus Ball was 36. One ticket matched all six of the main numbers drawn to win a jackpot of £4,467,060, which was almost half a million pounds more than estimated. Another five tickets matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win a very useful second-tier prize of £274,896 each.

There were 432 winning tickets at the third-tier prize level and each of those won £1,988 by matching five main Lotto numbers only. 22,099 tickets matched four main numbers to win £85 each and 437,146 tickets won the smallest consolation prize of £10 each by matching three main numbers.

The midweek lottery games taking place over the next few days will inevitably create plenty more prize winners, but what we don’t yet know is whether either or both of the jackpots themselves will be won. Visit this page to buy your lottery tickets online today and you’ll soon find out! Good luck!
