Lotto Jackpot Won Twice Over
A midweek Lotto jackpot worth £4,661,490 was won twice over on Wednesday 9 July thanks to two tickets matching all six of the main numbers that were drawn. Those numbers were 03, 08, 11, 12, 39 and 43, and each of the winning tickets is now worth and impressive £2,330,745. The jackpot had rolled over in the previous game, so the Lotto Raffle game created 100 winners of £20,000 each. The complete list of winning Raffle numbers can be found via our Lotto Results page, so do take a look at those if you haven’t yet checked your tickets.
There were four Lotto tickets that matched five of the main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball number (which was 18) to win £38,572 each, and another 164 tickets won £798 each by matching five main numbers only. A prize of £69 went to each of 9,942 tickets that matched four main numbers, and 182,716 tickets matched three main numbers to win £25 each. The next Lotto game this Saturday 12 July will offer a brand new jackpot worth around £4.1 million and the Lotto Raffle game will create another 50 winners of £20,000 each.
The midweek Health Lottery game didn't see anyone succeed at the highest level, so players will have to wait until Saturday for their next chance to win a top prize of £100,000. In the meantime, over 4,000 tickets won a consolation prize of some sort. For players who haven't looked at the results yet, the main numbers drawn were 03, 16, 25, 36 and 43, and the Bonus Ball was 44.
All of the above took place one day after the first EuroMillions game of the week. The EuroMillions results on Tuesday 8 July were 08, 18, 22, 24 and 27, with the numbers 04 and 11 appearing as the Lucky Stars. No ticket was able to match all of those numbers, but seven tickets successfully matched all five of the main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win £112,104 each and two of those tickets had been purchased in the UK. The third tier prizes proved more elusive for British players, with all eleven successful tickets having been bought overseas. Those tickets won their owners €33,068 each by matching five main numbers only.
There were 2,017,584 EuroMillions consolation prizes won in total, and UK tickets collectively landed more than £2.25 million. A separate prize of £1 million was won by the player who matched the Millionaire Raffle number VMS744043. EuroMillions fans will now be able to play for a jackpot worth around £47 million in the next game this Friday 11 July.
