Lotto Jackpot Split Four Ways

Lotto Jackpot Split Four Ways
Updated: Tuesday 22nd April 2014

A Lotto jackpot worth £3,861,900 was split four ways on Saturday 5 May after that many tickets matched all of the numbers needed to win it. The Lotto results on Saturday evening were 04, 13, 17, 26, 27 and 40, and the Bonus Ball number was 36. Each of the winning tickets is now worth £965,475, so if that hasn’t helped to make the winners millionaires already, giving the capital a few months in the bank to accrue some interest should finish the job quite nicely.

12 tickets matched five of the main Lotto numbers as well as the Bonus Ball number to win a consolation prize of £99,023 each, and another 600 tickets won a third-tier prize of £1,237 each by matching five main numbers only. There were 594,649 tickets winning smaller consolation prizes of either £51 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers, respectively. Because the jackpot was won on Saturday, the jackpot for the next Lotto game this Wednesday 9 May will be worth around £2.2 million.

In the EuroMillions game on Friday 4 May, no ticket succeeded in winning the jackpot, but there were five tickets that matched all five main numbers (03, 26, 39, 40 and 41) as well as one of the Lucky Star numbers (01 or 02) to win £237,040 each. Another four tickets matched five main numbers only and won £98,766 each. There were 42 winning tickets at the fourth-tier prize level, and each of those won £4,703 by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. The total number of EuroMillions prizes won on Friday was 2,338,618, and that doesn’t include the Millionaire Raffle prize of £1,000,000 which went to the ticket bearing the number ZML174955.

Since no player won the EuroMillions jackpot last Friday, there will now be a double-rollover jackpot of around £26 million to play for this Tuesday 08 May. Buy your lottery tickets online today and if you get really lucky this week you just might turn a wet and miserable UK Bank Holiday Monday into a day that changes your life forever! Good luck!
