Lotto Jackpot Soars for Saturday
The Lotto jackpot for the game this Saturday 8 October has soared in value after no player matched the six main numbers required to win the £2.14 million jackpot on Wednesday 5 October. The Lotto results were 09, 15, 17, 29, 30 and 39, and the Bonus Ball was 11. No jackpot winner in the midweek game means that the next Lotto jackpot will be worth around £6.5 million and that will come just one day after lottery players have a go at winning themselves a jackpot of around £100 million in the EuroMillions game on Friday.
Although the midweek jackpot itself foiled the plans of aspiring Lotto millionaires everywhere, four players did win themselves £165,286 each by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball. 257 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £1,607 each and another 317,488 players won either £55 or £10 each by matching four or three of the main numbers.
For those of you who like to take note of such things, the most overdue Lotto numbers right now are 12, 08, 21, 13, 01 and 14. Whether any of those numbers will help someone to land the £6.5 million jackpot this Saturday remains to be seen, but all numbers have exactly the same chance of being drawn so your odds of winning would be the same no matter how you choose to formulate your entry.
As we said earlier, the Lotto rollover jackpot will follow a particularly massive EuroMillions rollover game on Friday 7 October, so if you want to maximise your chances of becoming a multi-millionaire before the week is out you might do well to participate in both games. Add a Lotto Plus 5 entry to your Lotto numbers and you would also be giving yourself five more chances of winning a top prize of £250,000.
Whatever lottery games you choose to play, be sure to buy your tickets early to avoid any last minute ‘rollover rush’ and good luck!
