Lotto Jackpot Snowballs thru' Christmas
The Lotto jackpot rolled over for the second draw in a row last night, effectively snowballing through the Christmas celebrations to make things even more exciting at the end of the week. The Lotto results for Wednesday 25 December were 04, 08, 09, 10, 21 and 24, and the Bonus Ball was 31. We often see multiple jackpot winners when all of the main numbers fall within the ‘days of the month’ range of 1 to 31, but that wasn’t the case last night, so the next jackpot this Saturday will be worth around £10.1 million.
There were 564 players who missed out on the midweek Lotto jackpot by just one main number last night, and we can only hope that their consolation prizes will help to ease the disappointment of coming so close without getting the proverbial cigar. A dozen of the players just mentioned managed to match the Bonus Ball as well as five main numbers to secure a second tier prize of £23,596 each, and the remainder had to settle for a third tier prize of £435 each by matching five main numbers only.
At the lower consolation prize levels, 25,483 tickets matched four main numbers only to win a fourth tier prize worth £49 each, and the smallest possible prize of £25 went to each of 406,412 tickets that matched three main numbers only. The combined value of non-jackpot prizes landed in the main Lotto game last night was £18,919,763.
The Christmas Day Lotto Raffle game was almost as eagerly awaited as the Lotto draw thanks to it promising a prize of £20,000 to each of 500 players. If you haven’t yet checked your Lotto Raffle entries for last night then head over to our Lottery Results page for details of the winning numbers and be sure to let us know if you were lucky enough to match one of them!
With a rollover in the midweek Lotto game, players have plenty more to get enthusiastic about at the end of the week. The EuroMillions game this Friday 27 December will offer a jackpot worth around £71 million, and if you don’t land that you just might be able to win the £10.1 million Lotto jackpot on Saturday.
