Lotto Jackpot Snowballs for Christmas Eve!

Lotto Jackpot Snowballs for Christmas Eve!
Updated: Thursday 22nd December 2016

There was no winner in the midweek Lotto game on Wednesday, so the already significant jackpot has snowballed to even greater heights for the next draw on Christmas Eve. The top prize on Saturday 24th December is now expected to be worth around £20.6 million and, in addition, the associated Lotto Millionaire Raffle draw will create one winner of £1 million and a staggering 220 winners of £20,000.

The Lotto numbers that were drawn on Wednesday 21st December, which was the last midweek game before Christmas, were 10, 13, 22, 35, 42 and 52, and the Bonus Ball number was 27. Because the jackpot rolled over, the biggest prize won in the main game was found at the second tier, where a single ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £52,224.

There were 52 tickets which matched five main numbers only, and each of those won a second tier prize of £1,057. More than 817,000 entries won smaller consolation prizes by matching fewer numbers, and one player won £1 million by matching the Lotto Millionaire Raffle code PINK 7690 5693. Another 20 players won a Lotto Raffle prize of £20,000 each, and the full list of winning codes can be found on our Lotto Results page.

With a massive eight-figure jackpot being up for grabs on Christmas Eve, not to mention all of the extra Lotto Raffle prizes that are certain to be won, many people will be thinking of gifting tickets to their friends and loved ones as well as purchasing entries for themselves. For this reason, and the fact that Christmas Eve shopping is always a hectic affair, players should be sure to buy their tickets as soon as possible in order to avoid both the inevitable queues and also any last-minute glitches that might occur.

Players who want to take the Lotto Statistics into consideration when buying their entries will be interested to note that the most overdue numbers at the time of writing are 57, 15, 06, 23, 56 and 41, whilst the most common numbers are 02, 14, 37, 41, 10 and 38. And, whilst we’re on the topic of lottery statistics, EuroMillions players who are looking forward to the second Mega Week game this Friday 23 December should note that the most overdue main numbers right now are 39, 35, 04, 24 and 25, and the most overdue Lucky Stars are 07 and 06.

Whatever numbers you choose to enter for the festive EuroMillions and Lotto games that are coming up over the next few days, we wish you the very best of luck and a very merry Christmas!
