Lotto Jackpot Snowballs
The Lotto jackpot evaded players everywhere on Wednesday 6 January, so it will be rolled over for the game this Saturday 9 January, by which time it is estimated to be worth around £7 million. The lottery results for Wednesday were 04, 16, 18, 43, 45 and 49, with the number 23 being drawn as the Bonus Ball. The fact that the Lotto jackpot has snowballed means that we have two rollover jackpots to play for this weekend – the single rollover jackpot offered by the Lotto itself and, on Friday 8 January, a double rollover jackpot that will be worth around £36 million in the EuroMillions game.
Although all Lotto players participate with the hope that they will be lucky enough to land the jackpot, some of the consolation prizes offered by the game can still be quite meaningful in their own right. Six players discovered this at first hand when they matched five of the main numbers and the Bonus Ball number and won £131,475 each.
Another 207 players matched five of the main Lotto numbers (but not the Bonus Ball) to win £2,381 each. 12,024 players matched four main numbers only to win £90 each and more than a quarter of a million players picked up a £10 win for matching three main numbers.
All of that means that plenty of lottery players will be able to reinvest some of their Wednesday Lotto profits and buy lottery tickets online for the £7 million jackpot this Saturday. We expect that quite a few of them will also have a go at that £36 million EuroMillions jackpot on Friday!
As we said yesterday, playing online is the best way to participate in National Lottery games as the UK struggles with atrocious weather conditions. Buy your tickets today and hopefully the snowballing lottery jackpots will give you something to smile about as you wait for the big thaw to arrive!Thursday 7th January 2010
