Lotto Jackpot Quadruple Rollover!

Lotto Jackpot Quadruple Rollover!

The second ever Lotto jackpot quadruple rollover was witnessed in the game last night, instantly making 2014 rather special and giving players around £13.8 million to play for this Saturday. That’s more than can normally be won in a regular EuroMillions game, but the odds of landing the top prize in the Lotto game are more than ten times better, and the Lotto jackpot isn’t allowed to roll again. Clearly, if you’re the kind of lottery player who likes to take advantage of golden opportunities, the one coming up this Saturday 4 January isn’t to be missed!

The Lotto results for Wednesday 1 January were 09, 12, 16, 22, 26 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 14. Three rollovers in a row had been instrumental in helping last night’s jackpot reach a final value of £11,313,452, and although 281 tickets succeeded in matching five of the main numbers, none were able to match all six. There were nine tickets that matched the Bonus Ball along with five main numbers to land a second tier prize of £26,731 each, and the 272 tickets that matched five main numbers only won £750 each.

At the lower prize levels, 14,738 Lotto tickets won £73 each by matching four of the main numbers, and 255,657 tickets matched three main numbers only to win the smallest prize of £25 each. That brought the total value of cash won in the main game to an impressive £7,911,878, and another £4,000,000 was shared by 200 Lotto Raffle players who won £20,000 each.

It used to be the case that the Lotto jackpot could only roll over three times, and if it wasn’t won on the fourth occasion it was rolled down to winners at the next level. This rule was changed a couple of years ago to allow a fourth rollover, but the jackpot can’t roll again, so if no player matches all six main numbers this Saturday, the jackpot funds will be shared between the players who match five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball. If there are no winners at the second tier, the cash will be shared by winners at the third tier instead, and so on. In other words, whatever happens this Saturday, the jackpot prize pool will deliver!

The good news gets even better because the new Lotto Raffle game guarantees an extra 50 prizes for every rollover, and we have now had four rollovers in a row. That means Saturday’s Lotto Raffle draw will create 250 winners of £20,000 each!

With a EuroMillions jackpot of £93 million to play for on Friday and a quadruple Lotto jackpot of around £13.8 million – plus 250 Lotto Raffle prizes – up for grabs on Saturday, the first weekend of 2014 is sure to change quite a few lives. Visit this page to buy your tickets online and good luck!
